E3 Lithium Ltd. has begun delivering battery-grade lithium carbonate from its Demonstration program in Alberta to multiple global partners and prospective offtakers. The company is shipping 0.5-kilogram sample lots, with several recipients requesting larger quantities for additional testing. These sample deliveries support customer qualification and strategic discussions with key players in the battery and critical minerals sector, reinforcing E3 Lithium’s emerging role in the global lithium market.
The Demonstration facility employs a Direct Lithium Extraction process to generate lithium chloride, which is then converted to battery-grade lithium carbonate. Designed according to the 2024 Pre-Feasibility Study, the equipment was fabricated in early 2025 and commissioned onsite in the third quarter of 2025. Within three weeks of startup, the facility consistently met the targeted purity specifications required for battery applications, demonstrating the robustness of its design and operational parameters.
“This milestone marks an important step in E3’s commercial process toward securing long-term offtake agreements and advancing our relationships with key players in the battery and critical minerals industry,” said Chris Doornbos, President and CEO of E3 Lithium. “Our ability to continually produce significant quantities of lithium carbonate from our demonstration facility highlights the size and sophistication of our operations.”
The Demonstration program is situated within the Clearwater Project, E3 Lithium’s flagship development site located 15 kilometers east of Olds, Alberta. Data and operational insights gathered during this phase will feed into the company’s Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) work, paving the way for a full Feasibility Study. E3 Lithium has proposed a staged development plan with an initial production capacity of 12,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) per year and expansion potential up to 36,000 tonnes annually.
With 21.2 million tonnes of LCE in Measured and Indicated mineral resources and 0.3 million tonnes of LCE in Inferred resources, E3 Lithium is advancing its technical development in tandem with commercial offtake negotiations. The company aims to position the Clearwater Project as shovel ready while finalizing strategic partnerships and off-take agreements to support future large-scale production.
