At a recent industry event in Beijing, EVE Energy unveiled its latest advancements in large-format battery energy storage. The company introduced a 6.9 MWh system, announced safety certifications for its 628 Ah battery modules, and secured more than 50 GWh in strategic cooperation agreements.

The new 6.9 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) is housed in a standard 20-foot container and delivers a 10% increase in volumetric energy density compared with previous generations. Cell-level energy density exceeds 430 Wh/L, while structural optimizations have reduced the system’s footprint by 6%, trimming initial station investment by about RMB 2.6 million. The system is rated for 10,000 cycles at 70% state of health and maintains module temperature differentials within 5°C using active cell balancing and precise thermal management. Safety features include full-voltage, five-level protection at 1,500 V DC and an AI-enabled, multi-detection, staged fire-suppression solution to provide end-to-end hazard management from early warning through fire control.

During the event, CSA Group awarded EVE Energy a certificate confirming that its 628 Ah large-format battery and a 5 MWh BESS passed rigorous large-scale fire tests under international standards including CSA/ANSI C800:25, UL 9540A, and NFPA 855. In parallel, SGS granted CB, CE, and AS approvals for EVE’s 261 kWh outdoor integrated storage cabinet, and CB and CE certifications for its S6900 BESS, supporting the company’s overseas market expansion.

EVE Energy also signed strategic agreements with five leading energy storage partners—Beijing Goldwind Zero Carbon Energy, Zhejiang Jinko Energy Storage, Jiangsu Linyang Energy Equipment, China Energy Construction Energy Storage Technology (Wuhan), and Shanghai Ronghe Yuan Energy Storage—totaling more than 50 GWh in contracted capacity. These partnerships center on large-format batteries and core energy storage solutions.

With its latest product launch, validated safety credentials, and substantial order backlog, EVE Energy reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing high-capacity energy storage technologies and collaborating with global partners to advance the energy storage ecosystem.
