Audi and SAIC have officially unveiled the mass-produced Audi E7X, a large electric SUV, during cold-weather testing in China. This five-meter-long model delivers up to 500 kW (670 hp) of combined power and represents the production-ready version of the E SUV concept that was first shown in November 2025 and later confirmed by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology under the E7X name.

As a joint venture brand focused exclusively on the Chinese market, Audi (stylized in uppercase letters without the traditional four-ring logo) follows last year’s launch of the E5 Sportback shooting brake, which recorded 6,650 deliveries in 2025. The new E7X builds on that debut by offering a more spacious, SUV-oriented package and advanced exterior features.

Photos shared by Autohome during cold-weather trials highlight the top-trim E7X finished in a purple press color. The vehicle rides on available 21- or 22-inch wheels—22-inch rims are shown—with integrated counterweights in the Audi inscriptions to ensure the letters remain upright at all times. Instead of conventional side mirrors, the E7X uses cameras, and its roof-mounted LiDAR unit underscores the model’s emphasis on driver assistance and autonomous capabilities. Additional exterior details include a camera in the B-pillar, an active front bumper air intake, sculpted fenders, retractable door handles, and a sloping bonnet that enhances aerodynamic performance.

Measuring 5,049 mm long, 1,997 mm wide, and 1,710 mm tall, with a 3,060 mm wheelbase, the E7X is offered in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. The entry-level RWD version deploys a single electric motor producing 300 kW (402 hp), while the AWD variant combines two motors for the 500 kW (670 hp) output. Both configurations achieve a top speed of 230 km/h. Buyers can choose between two battery packs—100 kWh or 109.3 kWh—enabling an estimated driving range of 635 to 751 km on a single charge.
