ProLogium Technology said its Gen 3.5 Lithium Ceramic Battery is now in mass production at its Giga-level manufacturing facility in Taiwan, marking a move beyond laboratory and pilot-scale development for its all-solid-state battery program. The company said a third-party TÜV test report confirmed that its 185.4 Ah large-format cell achieved 381 Wh/kg in gravimetric energy density and 903 Wh/L in volumetric energy density, results intended to support applications that require high energy density, high power, and fast charging.
ProLogium also said UL Solutions tested the cell using China’s GB/T 43568-2026 methodology. After six hours under vacuum at 120°C, the cell recorded weight loss of less than 0.05%, below the standard’s 0.5% threshold for all-solid-state classification. The company said the cell can therefore be classified as all-solid-state under the standard, which has also been submitted to the International Electrotechnical Commission as a reference for international standardization.
The Gen 3.5 battery is based on ProLogium’s Logithium cell architecture and its associated scalable manufacturing process. According to the company, this platform was defined in 2012 and has been developed through four generations of battery technology and three generations of manufacturing technology. Since commercial production began in 2013, ProLogium said it has shipped more than 2.4 million cells across consumer, specialty, and automotive applications. The company also said its production line has held IATF 16949 automotive quality-management certification since 2022 and continues to pass annual surveillance audits.
ProLogium said its customer base includes a U.S. automotive audio-system company and vehicles from a Japanese automaker among the top three in North American sales. The company said those programs have generated more than 175 repeat orders and cumulative deliveries of over 900,000 cells. Looking ahead, ProLogium said its Gen 4 LCB will use a fully inorganic superfluidized electrolyte system while retaining the same core cell architecture, with only about 10% of the existing Giga-level production line expected to require modification. The company said it is targeting AI data centers, electric vehicles, maritime, aerospace, and unmanned systems, while also planning a manufacturing network spanning Taiwan, France, and North America.
