Proventia Oy and Morrow Batteries ASA have entered into a long-term Master Supply Agreement for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells. Under the agreement, Morrow will deliver prismatic LFP cells to Proventia for use in battery modules and packs designed for off-highway machinery and industrial applications. The contract, which runs through 2031, also provides flexibility to incorporate future cell chemistries as they reach commercial maturity.
Deliveries have already commenced, and both companies will maintain joint simulation and pack-level optimization activities. These efforts are intended to accelerate development timelines, reduce prototyping and testing costs, and enhance overall battery performance and reliability. Proventia plans to begin customer deliveries featuring Morrow’s cells in spring 2026.
Jari Lotvonen, CEO of Proventia, emphasized the strategic importance of sourcing cells manufactured in Europe. He noted that the agreement aligns with customer requirements for European-made battery technology and supports Proventia’s electric powertrain and battery development programs by providing quality, flexibility, and speed.
Jon Fold von Bulow, acting CEO of Morrow, said the collaboration underscores Morrow’s commitment to strengthening Europe’s battery value chain through industrial partnerships. He added that the long-term agreement will accelerate technology validation, secure reliable offtake arrangements, and deliver advanced cell solutions for demanding applications.
Throughout 2026, Morrow will increase production capacity and continue refining its manufacturing processes to ensure consistent, on-time deliveries and uphold its dedication to long-term customer relationships.
