Skeleton Technologies and KNDS France have entered into a Joint Declaration to expand their collaboration on advanced power systems for military vehicle platforms, addressing the evolving requirements of modern battlefields. The agreement was formalized at the 2026 Eurosatory defense exhibition in Paris and witnessed by Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur and French Minister Delegate for Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs Alice Rufo.
Under the framework, the two companies will build on a partnership that dates back to 2014 and leverages Skeleton’s existing defense hub in Toulouse, France. The cooperation aims to enhance sovereign European defense capabilities by exploring joint projects within KNDS France’s product portfolio. Potential areas of focus include integrating ultra-capacitor–based power systems into 40 CT medium-caliber remote weapon stations and supporting development work for main battle tank platforms.
Arnaud Castaignet, Senior Vice President of Strategic Affairs at Skeleton Technologies Group and Managing Director of Skeleton Technologies SAS, and Olivier Travert, Chief Sales Executive Officer of KNDS France, signed the agreement during the conference. Their collaboration seeks to deliver next-generation energy storage solutions that offer rapid power delivery, high cycle life and thermal stability—key attributes for hybrid or fully electric military applications.
“France and Estonia may differ in size, but they share the same commitment to security and European sovereignty,” said Taavi Madiberk, CEO and co-founder of Skeleton Technologies. “As Europe reinvests in its defense capabilities, industrial cooperation and technological innovation have never been more important. This partnership with KNDS France marks a significant step toward strengthening the energy infrastructure of French and allied armed forces.”
The Joint Declaration sets the stage for joint research, development and potential prototype demonstrations, aiming to accelerate deployment of resilient power solutions across European defense industries. By combining KNDS France’s vehicle integration expertise with Skeleton’s high-performance energy storage technology, the collaboration intends to support NATO militaries and their allies with scalable, efficient and reliable power architectures.
