Leapmotor, the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer backed by Stellantis, recorded its first annual net profit in 2025, according to the company’s financial report. Deliveries more than doubled over the prior year, propelling revenue growth and enabling a return to profitability. In the full year, Leapmotor delivered 596,555 vehicles worldwide, up 103% year-on-year, and reported revenue of 64.72 billion yuan (approximately 9.38 billion USD), a 101.3% increase. Gross profit margin reached a record high of 14.5%, and net profit stood at 540 million yuan (around 76.85 million USD), reversing the prior year’s net loss of 2.82 billion yuan.
During the first half of 2025, Leapmotor achieved its first semi-annual net profit of 30 million yuan (about 4.17 million USD), driven by strong sales of vehicles and spare parts. The company expanded its product lineup with three new models: the B10 crossover, the B01 sedan and the Lafa 5 (B05) hatchback. These launches helped support robust demand both domestically and abroad.
Leapmotor’s liquidity position strengthened, with cash and equivalents reaching 37.88 billion yuan (approximately 5.49 billion USD). In a notable investment move, FAW Equity Investment (Tianjin) acquired a 5% stake by purchasing over 74.8 million shares for 50.03 yuan each, representing a total investment of 3.74 billion yuan (around 530 million USD). This followed Stellantis’s acquisition of a 20% stake in late 2023.
Overseas sales rose sharply as well, with 67,052 units delivered outside China in 2025. Leapmotor has established about 900 sales and after-sales outlets across 40 countries. The company is advancing a CKD assembly project in Spain, where initial production of the B05 hatchback will begin on a trial basis in June 2026, followed by the B10 crossover in October 2026 and full-volume manufacturing in 2027.
Domestically, Leapmotor operates 950 sales outlets and 526 service centers in 295 Chinese cities. The company plans to introduce three more models this year—the A10 crossover, the D19 SUV and the D99 minivan—with a goal of surpassing one million vehicle sales in 2026.
