Summit Nanotech Corporation has announced that it will operate under the new name Summit Lithium Technologies (Summit). This change highlights the company’s comprehensive direct lithium extraction (DLE) offering, which encompasses a proprietary sorbent, modular system design, and a predictive modeling platform. The announcement also marks the completion of basic engineering for Summit’s scalable, modular commercial plant configuration.

Since 2022, Summit has deployed its DLE systems in northern Chile, beginning with a pilot project and followed by a field demonstration at Albemarle’s site in 2025. Earlier this year, the company commissioned a rapid-validation demonstration plant at its Santiago facility, running tests on customer-sourced brine. The finalized basic engineering package supports modules capable of producing 5,000 tonnes of lithium per year, scalable in 5,000-tonne increments up to 50,000 tonnes annually.

Amanda Hall, Founder and CEO of Summit Lithium Technologies, commented on the milestone: ‘Our new name reflects a simple reality: Summit is no longer a nanotech company – we are building the infrastructure layer for the energy transition. By integrating sorbent, modular systems, and predictive process intelligence, we are unlocking lithium production with greater reliability and lower lifecycle costs. Completing basic engineering on our modular plant represents the moment Summit’s DLE graduated from validation to rapidly deployable infrastructure for the lithium industry.’

Summit maintains a global presence, with its headquarters in Calgary, Canada; a pilot development facility in Denver, USA; the rapid-validation plant in Santiago, Chile; and a project development office in Salta, Argentina. All existing customer contracts, technology agreements, and partnerships will continue unchanged under the Summit Lithium Technologies name. Alongside the rebranding, the company is rolling out an updated visual identity, including a new logo, website, and corporate materials.

Summit Lithium Technologies advances commercial deployment of its denaLi™ DLE system, powered by the eLivate™ sorbent. Engineered for high lithium recovery, strong impurity rejection, and ultra-low water use, the technology is designed to deliver the lowest levelized cost of lithium production throughout a project’s lifecycle. Summit works with lithium producers and project developers from resource evaluation through full commercial deployment.
