Company Overview

Corvus Energy, founded in 2009 and headquartered in Nesttun, Norway, develops maritime energy storage and hydrogen fuel cell systems for hybrid and all-electric vessels. The company supplies modular lithium-ion battery packs, integrated controls and commissioning services for ferries, tugs, offshore vessels and port equipment. Corvus’s mission is to enable zero-emission shipping by reducing onboard fuel use and emissions while improving operational efficiency and return on investment. The company offers engineering, certification, installation and lifecycle support through a global network of local teams.

Battery Technology

Corvus Energy delivers marine-optimized lithium-ion energy storage systems featuring high-voltage architectures (up to 1,200 VDC), high continuous discharge capability (up to 3C) and LFP chemistry for thermal stability and long cycle life. Systems use an in-house Battery Management System with enhanced cybersecurity, integrated thermal control and marine-grade enclosures certified by DNV, Lloyd’s Register, ABS and Bureau Veritas. Supporting technologies include the Pelican PEM hydrogen fuel cell and CoPilot power-management software that coordinate batteries and fuel cells to reduce fuel consumption, lower emissions and maintain safe operation under maritime duty cycles.

Products

Product lines include Orca, Dolphin NxtGen, Blue Whale NxtGen, Moray and the Pelican fuel cell system, plus CoPilot energy-management software. Offerings are modular and marine-certified, intended for hybrid and fully electric ferries, RoPax vessels, tugs, offshore service vessels, port cranes and select land transport applications. Services cover system integration, certification, remote monitoring, maintenance and end-of-life management.
