Highstar’s core sodium-ion battery technology leverages abundant sodium resources to offer cost-effective and environmentally sustainable alternatives to lithium-ion batteries. Manufacturing processes incorporate layered, polyanion, and Prussian blue material systems, enabling versatile applications across energy storage, industrial vehicles, and backup power systems.
Star series sodium-ion batteries: Xingyao I (70Ah capacity, 120Wh/kg energy density, 2,000 cycles), Xingyao II (80Ah, 135Wh/kg, 3,000 cycles), and Xingyuan (120Wh/kg, 2,000 cycles).
Received the world’s first IEC certification for the NaCR46145-20Ah cylindrical sodium-ion battery. Developing a 61,000 m2 facility in Zhuhai, Guangdong (6GWh annual capacity) by 2025. Partnerships with Queensland University of Technology and Xcel Sodium Technology for R&D, and with Komatsu Manufacturing to integrate sodium-ion batteries into 1.5 ton electric vehicles.
