Milwaukee Venture Partners (MVP) is a Milwaukee-based network of angel investors formed in 2021 to support early-stage companies. Drawing on the legacy of Silicon Pastures, MVP unites seasoned leaders from business, government and academia to deliver both financial backing and practical guidance. Members contribute capital alongside their expertise, helping startups lay solid foundations and navigate critical growth stages. In addition to direct investments, MVP provides entrepreneurs with resources such as mentoring sessions, networking opportunities and workshops designed to strengthen business models and refine go-to-market plans, accelerating market entry.
Since its inception, MVP has made at least six seed and early-stage investments, selecting companies that demonstrate strong potential for market leadership. The network connects members with carefully screened funding opportunities and offers ongoing strategic advice to portfolio companies. MVP also hosts educational events, through both virtual and in-person meetings, aimed at raising awareness among regional decision makers about the impact of accessible angel capital on economic development. Entrepreneurs interested in joining the network or seeking funding can apply through MVP’s online forms for investment consideration or guest invitations.
Although MVP does not limit itself to any single sector, its portfolio includes Blue Line Battery, the only known holding in the clean technology space. Blue Line Battery specializes in advanced lithium-ion systems for industrial and commercial applications, reflecting MVP’s willingness to back energy storage innovations. Other recent investments include MediCardia, which develops medical devices, COnovate in industrial technology and Akru in digital services. By supporting a variety of ventures, MVP aims to foster growth and diversification across the greater Milwaukee region.
