OurCrowd was established in 2013 in Jerusalem and operates a global investment platform for accredited investors. Led by CEO Jon Medved, it maintains offices in Tel Aviv, Abu Dhabi, Toronto, Singapore and Hong Kong, supporting investors across North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The platform supports early-stage technology companies, venture funds and alternative assets in partnership with institutions, family offices and angel investors. It reviews 150-200 startups every month, advances two to three through in-depth due diligence and co-invests alongside members in each selected offering.
Investors can select individual companies with minimum commitments of $10,000 or join funds with a $50,000 threshold. The platform provides due diligence reports, virtual and in-person events, and educational guides on investment steps. Members receive an FAQ section and a weekly newsletter, and can attend a global investor summit or virtual gatherings to connect directly with founders. Since launch, more than 240,000 accredited investors have registered, channeling over $2.3 billion into 480 portfolio companies and 58 funds. The platform has recorded 68 successful exits through public offerings and strategic acquisitions.
OurCrowd has expanded its offerings to include clean technology and battery innovation projects. Investments in ZutaCore address energy demands of data centers with a waterless cooling system. Carrar develops thermal management solutions for electric vehicle batteries. Tipa creates fully compostable packaging to reduce plastic waste. CarbonCure embeds captured carbon dioxide into concrete to lower emissions in construction. These positions illustrate the platform’s interest in sustainability and energy efficiency within private markets.
