On April 10, Huizhou EVE Energy Co., Ltd. (“EVE Energy”) and KION Battery Systems GmbH (“KBS”) entered into a strategic cell sourcing framework agreement. This partnership aims to deploy cylindrical battery cells extensively within the European logistics vehicle sector, supporting the transition to zero-carbon industrial transportation and fostering a sustainable energy value chain.
KBS, a joint venture between KION Group, a leading global provider of industrial trucks and supply chain solutions, and BMZ Holding, a global battery system integrator, utilizes precision manufacturing and adheres to German safety standards. The company is recognized for its advanced lithium-ion battery systems, which are known for their technological sophistication, system safety, and environmental resilience. KBS plays a pivotal role in the electrification of logistics equipment across Europe and North America.
EVE Energy is an innovative lithium battery platform enterprise that offers a variety of lithium battery technologies and applications to customers worldwide through its comprehensive network encompassing global manufacturing, delivery, and service. With 13 production facilities located in Asia, Europe, and the Americas, EVE Energy has developed an extensive R&D system that spans from material innovation to system integration. The company’s cylindrical battery cells are noted for their high energy density, long cycle life, and performance across diverse temperature conditions, thereby enhancing the range and efficiency of logistics vehicles and supporting clean energy applications in areas such as European port transportation and warehousing.
Under the agreement, EVE Energy will provide KBS with customized cylindrical battery cell solutions tailored to the specific requirements of KBS’s battery systems for logistics vehicles. This collaboration enhances EVE Energy’s localized supply capabilities in Europe and facilitates the entry of its products into the high-end European industrial vehicle market through mutual technical standard recognition.
The agreement was signed by Christian Hasenstab, Co-Managing Director of KBS, and Xie Jiaqi, Head of EVE Energy’s Europe-America Regional Sales. Key stakeholders, including Wolfgang Klüpfel, Co-Managing Director of KBS, Zhao Jian, General Manager of EVE Energy’s V-Cylindrical Battery Sales Center, Zhang Xiaojuan, Sales Director, and Chen Jialing, Sales Manager, also attended the signing ceremony.

Zhao Jian highlighted that the partnership aligns with EVE Energy’s “CREATE Carbon Neutrality Action Plan,” aiming to deliver zero-carbon power solutions for high-end European logistics equipment and build an industrial ecosystem encompassing technology R&D, intelligent manufacturing, and circular recycling.
This strategic collaboration marks a significant advancement for EVE Energy’s lithium battery technology in the European logistics sector, promoting the electrification of industrial vehicles and supporting low-carbon sustainable development in logistics transportation.
