In response to the escalating demand, global battery manufacturers have initiated the operation of pilot lines for dry electrode technology. This strategic move is part of a broader plan to transition to mass production between 2025 and 2028. The adoption of dry electrode processes is anticipated to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the overall performance and sustainability of EV batteries.

Additionally, the global loading volume of electrolytes for EV batteries saw a substantial increase of 50%, totaling 155,000 tonnes from January to February 2025 compared to the same period last year. This rise in electrolyte usage reflects the heightened production activity and the scaling up of battery manufacturing processes to meet the surging demand for electric vehicles.

These developments indicate a robust and rapidly evolving EV market, driven by advancements in battery technology and increased consumer and industrial adoption of electric mobility solutions. The strategic initiatives undertaken by battery manufacturers to innovate and scale production are critical in sustaining the momentum of the electric vehicle revolution and addressing the global push towards sustainable transportation.
