ProLogium Technology, a global leader in lithium ceramic battery (LCB) innovation, has entered into a strategic partnership with Japan’s Kyushu Electric Power. Announced on May 7, 2025, the collaboration aims to co-develop a 24V LCB module specifically designed for construction machinery applications. The companies plan to showcase this new technology at CES 2026.
This partnership represents a significant advancement in ProLogium’s global new energy strategy, highlighting the company’s technological expertise and expanding market presence. Moving forward, ProLogium and Kyushu Electric Power intend to deepen their collaboration by expanding the use of clean energy solutions beyond construction into other energy sectors, supporting a more sustainable industrial future.
The collaboration leverages ProLogium’s advanced battery technology alongside Kyushu Electric Power’s proficiency in module design and end-user integration. The joint effort will result in a high-performance, durable, and versatile energy solution optimized for the challenging operational demands of construction machinery. ProLogium will provide its lithium ceramic batteries, while Kyushu Electric Power will focus on developing the 24V modules and integrating them into heavy equipment for end users.
ProLogium’s LCB modules offer several advantages over traditional lithium-ion batteries:
- Enhanced Safety: The LCB utilizes a fully inorganic electrolyte and stable cathode and anode materials, reducing the risk of thermal runaway and fire. Additionally, it features an Active Safety Mechanism (ASM) that activates under high-temperature conditions to enhance safety in demanding environments.
- High Energy Density: By using high-activity materials such as a 100% silicon composite anode, the LCB achieves higher energy density without compromising safety. This allows for more compact and lightweight battery packs, providing excellent range and power performance essential for heavy machinery.
- Outstanding Low-Temperature Performance: The battery is engineered to operate reliably in extreme cold, ensuring stable operation and sustained power output for heavy machinery during prolonged, high-intensity tasks in low-temperature conditions.
- Fast Charging and Durability: The LCB’s fast-charging capability reduces charging time, decreasing equipment downtime and the need for frequent replacements. Combined with a long service life and high performance, this enhances operational continuity and reduces maintenance costs.
The partnership will be publicly revealed at CES 2026, where both companies will demonstrate their technical advancements and engage with potential partners.
Beyond enhancing operational efficiency, the collaboration aims to support greener and more resource-efficient industrial practices by reducing carbon emissions, lowering pollution, and improving energy utilization. ProLogium and Kyushu Electric Power seek to provide sustainable battery solutions that align with global trends toward carbon neutrality and green technology, steering the construction machinery industry toward a low-carbon future.
“As the world accelerates its shift toward sustainability, electrification in construction and heavy industries is both urgent and inevitable. We are honored to partner with Kyushu Electric Power to bring our next-generation LCB technology into the heavy machinery sector, elevating energy efficiency, safety, and endurance.
Together, we are committed to advancing green energy transformation and building a low-carbon, sustainable future. This partnership enables us to deliver longer-range energy solutions for heavy-duty operations, enhance productivity with fast-charging capabilities, and ensure stable battery performance in extreme cold—all contributing to the electrification of heavy industry and a cleaner future for global infrastructure.”
