ATL develops high energy density lithium-ion batteries with advanced cell chemistry and design for mobile phones, laptops, and tablets, as well as high-power lithium cells with excellent power density and temperature control. They offer 5C super-fast charge cell technology achieving 80% charge in 10 minutes and manufacture arbitrary shaped cells (ASC) for customized designs. Their manufacturing includes stringent quality controls and automated systems, supported by a research institute with nearly 20 labs and numerous patents.
ATL produces rechargeable lithium-ion and lithium-ion polymer batteries including high energy density batteries for mobile devices, high-power lithium cells, 5C super-fast charge cells for rapid charging, and customized arbitrary shaped cells for smart devices such as watches and headsets.
In 2023, ATL formed strategic partnerships with AM Batteries to develop solvent-free electrode manufacturing technology and with Group14 Technologies to integrate advanced silicon battery materials, enhancing lithium-ion battery performance for next-generation smartphones and consumer electronics.
TDK Corporation is the primary stakeholder in ATL following its 2005 acquisition. In 2003, The Carlyle Group invested $30M alongside co-investor 3i. ATL continues to benefit from strong financial backing through TDK and strategic partnerships.
