AuroraCell announced on October 1, 2026, that its sodium-ion residential energy storage systems are now in stock at the company’s warehouse in Poland. The available batch is intended for homeowners, installers and distributors planning residential storage projects in Europe. AuroraCell said it can discuss availability, delivery arrangements and system configurations with prospective customers and installation partners.
The residential system uses Sodium Chromoxide, or NCO, which AuroraCell identifies as its sodium-ion battery chemistry. It is designed to store surplus solar electricity during the day and release it later as household demand increases. The system combines NCO cells with an integrated battery management system and a passive thermal design for monitoring and protection.
AuroraCell lists an expected service life of 25–30 years for the NCO platform and projects a cycle life of more than 30,000 cycles. The company positions these characteristics for residential systems that charge and discharge frequently as part of daily operation.
However, AuroraCell said the 25–30-year service life is a design expectation rather than a warranty duration. The cycle-life figure is also a projection based on cell-level test data, not the result of a completed 30,000-cycle test of the full residential system. Actual service life and cycling performance will depend on factors including temperature, depth of discharge, charge and discharge rates, and other operating conditions. Product documentation and warranty terms will govern each supplied system.
With systems now held in Poland, AuroraCell said it can assist customers in checking the battery, inverter and operating settings for a planned installation.
