ChemVolt Global, an Indian clean energy and storage solutions provider, and Serbia-based ElevenEs have signed a strategic agreement to accelerate development of battery energy storage systems (BESS), lithium-ion cell manufacturing, and electric vehicle (EV) battery pack supply in India. The partnership combines ChemVolt Global’s experience in project development, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), as well as proven local market execution, with ElevenEs’ expertise in lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) cell technology and large-scale manufacturing facilities in Europe.

The agreement sets forth three primary objectives. First, the partners will deploy advanced BESS solutions across India and the Middle East. These systems will integrate high-performance lithium-ion cells designed for extended lifecycle, reduced degradation, and enhanced thermal stability to support grid stability and renewable energy integration. Second, the collaboration will establish domestic lithium-ion cell manufacturing based on ElevenEs’ pioneering European cell technology, pooling R&D resources to localize production and reduce supply chain dependencies. Third, the two companies will supply EV battery packs to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in India, offering high-safety, rapid-charging, and reliable battery modules to accelerate electric mobility adoption.

Kuldeep Gupta, CEO of ChemVolt Global, stated that the partnership reflects deepening industrial and technological cooperation between India and Europe, positioning both regions at the forefront of the global energy transition. Nemanja Mikać, CEO of ElevenEs, underscored the move as a decisive step to introduce proven LFP cell technology and manufacturing capabilities in India, contributing to the country’s energy independence and shaping the future of its clean energy and EV sectors.

By fostering a robust ecosystem for energy storage and electric mobility, this collaboration aims to support India’s clean energy targets, enhance energy security, and deliver scalable, safe, and cost-effective battery solutions to meet growing market demand.
