HPQ Silicon Inc. has entered into a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) with LN Innov’ and Novacium SAS to explore the development of a Canadian-based electric propulsion platform for North American drone, robotics and defense markets. The LOI, signed on June 16, 2026, at the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris, establishes a 190-day framework for assessing whether Novacium’s advanced battery technologies and LN Innov’s high-performance electric motors can be integrated and manufactured in Canada under the HPQ ENDURA+ brand.
HPQ holds a 36.8% equity interest in Novacium and has exclusive commercialization rights for North America. The evaluation will focus on industrialization requirements, manufacturing capacity, supply-chain logistics, certification pathways and potential commercialization strategies. The LOI does not include financial commitments, exclusivity clauses or minimum purchase obligations, and any future collaboration would depend on definitive agreements.
LN Innov has already tested its propulsion systems with more than 20 customers in the drone, robotics and defense sectors, resulting in over a dozen commercial orders. The company plans to ramp up its production in France to 20,000 drone motors per month by the end of the third quarter of 2026. The parties intend to review whether elements of LN Innov’s European manufacturing model can be adapted for North American markets.
Novacium is developing silicon-enhanced batteries tailored for drone and autonomous platforms. Current prototypes deliver approximately 15 Ah capacity at a nominal 21.3 V with energy densities near 205 Wh/kg. These battery configurations are under evaluation by industrial and defense manufacturers in France for integration into future drone systems.
The planned collaboration aims to combine LN Innov’s propulsion expertise with Novacium’s battery developments and HPQ’s North American presence. This approach is intended to address strategic supply-chain vulnerabilities by establishing local capabilities for critical electric propulsion components.
All three parties have completed preliminary technical reviews supporting the LOI. While there is no guarantee that a definitive agreement will be reached, the evaluation phase is designed to identify viable pathways for bringing a fully integrated electric propulsion ecosystem to the North American market.
