Nuvve and E&B Renewables Sign MOU for 100 MW BESS Projects

Nuvve Denmark and E&B Renewables signed an MOU to build 2–100 MW battery storage across Northern Europe and the Baltics. Three 2 MW Danish projects will launch first, with 20–50 MW more by early 2026, all managed via Nuvve’s grid platform.

Nuvve Denmark ApS and E&B Renewables ApS have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to develop Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across Northern Europe and the Baltic region. Building on an earlier collaboration in Denmark, the agreement outlines plans for a diversified portfolio of stationary battery installations ranging from 2 MW to 100 MW, all managed through Nuvve’s grid-asset management platform.

The initial phase will see three 2 MW projects deployed in Denmark. In early 2026, the partners aim to secure an additional 20 MW to 50 MW of capacity across the Nordic and Baltic markets. Current market conditions suggest potential revenue of roughly 2,000,000 Danish kroner per MW-year (approximately $340,000 per MW-year) and up to 3,400,000 Danish kroner per MW-year (about $532,000 per MW-year) in Denmark, as well as 480,000 euros per MW-year (around $570,000 per MW-year) in Estonia. Each project is expected to operate over a 15-year lifecycle.

Under the framework, Nuvve’s platform will enable multiple revenue streams beyond traditional energy arbitrage and grid services. These include behind-the-meter applications, energy community integration, local flexibility services for distribution network operators, and physical flexibility purchase agreements with nearby prosumers. By hedging revenue risks through diversified services, the partners intend to enhance project bankability and long-term stability.

“This agreement marks the first step in expanding our focus to stationary storage and microgrid solutions,” said Gregory Poilasne, Chief Executive Officer of Nuvve Holding.

“Collaborating with Nuvve allows us to identify high-yield projects with reduced risk and fast deployment timelines,” added Nicolaj Brask Christiansen, co-CEO of E&B Renewables. Matias Bøje, E&B’s other co-CEO, noted that Nuvve’s technology will elevate project value by opening additional revenue opportunities and mitigating operational risks.

Nuvve specializes in intelligent energy management and vehicle-to-grid solutions for batteries, electric vehicles, and distributed assets, delivering flexibility services and grid optimization worldwide. E&B Renewables focuses on developing, financing, and operating BESS and co-located renewable projects throughout Europe.
