Sungrow has inaugurated its first Solar & Battery Experience Hub on Australia’s Sunshine Coast, underscoring the company’s ongoing commitment to the local renewable energy sector. The new centre, fully powered by Sungrow inverters and battery systems, offers real-time demonstrations of solar, battery storage and electric vehicle charging solutions in both residential and commercial settings.
Positioned in one of Australia’s most sustainability-focused regions, the Hub is designed to foster collaboration with residents, businesses and non-profit organisations. It will host technical training sessions, sustainability workshops and community events to promote energy literacy and drive local economic growth through clean energy innovation.
The opening ceremony featured Sunshine Coast Mayor Rosanna Natoli, Queensland Government representative Kendall Hatcher MP, leaders of community organisations, industry figures and Sungrow Australia executives. In their opening remarks, local officials highlighted the Hub’s potential to accelerate the region’s transition to low-carbon technologies and praised its role in strengthening community engagement around renewable energy.
Inside the centre, visitors can explore three immersive zones:
- Sungrow Journey: Chronicles the company’s global research and development milestones alongside its 14-year history in Australia.
- Live Experience Area: Showcases live product demonstrations and real-time system monitoring for residential solar, battery storage and EV charging solutions.
- Smart Hub Experience: Features next-generation energy management technologies, including battery optimisation and advanced monitoring tools designed to enhance household energy independence.
In addition to its educational offerings, Sungrow has donated two energy storage systems to local charities, reinforcing its support for community resilience. The Hub also collaborates with certified installers to ensure visitors receive expert guidance and reliable installation services.
Neil Yang, Channel Sales Manager at Sungrow Australia, noted that the centre is “more than a physical space—it offers firsthand exposure to clean energy technologies, empowering people to make informed decisions about their energy use.” He also indicated plans to replicate this model in major Australian cities to expand renewable energy education, boost local employment and support sustainable infrastructure development.
