Solidion Technology introduced a silicon-rich anode containing 45–95% silicon with proprietary rubber encapsulation; the company reports range gains of 20–45% and cost reductions using silane-free manufacturing and reclaimed feedstock, with Dayton production set to expand. Read more

🔋 Anaphite nets €1.6M to scale dry coating for LFP batteries

Anaphite secured €1.6 million in follow-on Series A funding from Innovate UK and climate-focused VCs to adapt its Dry Coating Precursor (DCP®) technology for LFP cathodes and graphite anodes, targeting lower manufacturing costs and emissions. Read more

🔋 DLA awards $1.9M to 6K Energy for single-crystal NMC721

The U.S. Defense Logistics Agency awarded $1.9 million to 6K Energy under BATTNET III to scale domestic production of single-crystal NMC721 cathode powders using its UniMelt microwave plasma platform for defense-grade batteries. Read more

🔋 OCSiAl opens Serbia silicone lab for graphene nanotube R&D

OCSiAl opened a silicone R&D lab in Serbia to develop and pilot graphene nanotube–enhanced formulations for LSR and RTV systems, aiming to accelerate conductive silicone development for automotive, robotics and wearable devices. Read more

🔋 Welion’s solid-state cells reach 824 Wh/kg, eyes 1,000 Wh/kg

Welion New Energy reported lab results of 824 Wh/kg for its solid-state cells and is targeting 1,000 Wh/kg; chairman Yu cited high sulfide electrolyte costs as the main barrier and mentioned early applications in robots and 150 kWh packs. Read more

QuantumScape said it met its 2025 commercial engagement target via a joint development agreement with a Top-10 automaker, complementing existing collaborations with PowerCo, Murata and Corning and its Solid-State Battery Symposium. Read more

🔋 FAW’s Hongqi to debut solid-state batteries by 2027

FAW Group is advancing solid-state battery development for its Hongqi brand, producing 66 Ah prototypes and working with 27 partners on energy density, cycle life and scalability, targeting small-batch production in high-end models by 2027. Read more

🔋 CATL deploys ‘Moz’ humanoid robots in battery production

CATL deployed ‘Moz’ humanoid robots at its Zhongzhou plant to automate EOL and DCR testing of battery packs using vision models, reporting over 99% connection success, triple human throughput and real-time anomaly detection. Read more

🔋 Ionic Minerals discovers major rare earth deposit in Utah

Ionic Minerals Technology found a clay-hosted deposit containing 16 rare earth and critical minerals at Utah’s Silicon Ridge, describing simpler, waste-free extraction and potential to strengthen domestic supply chains for EVs, green energy and defense tech. Read more

🔋 Orbia expands Madison electrolyte facility, tripling capacity

Orbia Fluor & Energy Materials completed a 300% capacity expansion at its Madison electrolyte facility, adding 75- and 200-liter mixers to support lithium-ion and emerging chemistries, shorten lead times and bolster supply chain resilience. Read more

🔋 BMW and Encory launch Cell Recycling Competence Center

BMW Group and Encory inaugurated the Cell Recycling Competence Center in Salching to advance direct battery recycling; the facility uses mechanical dismantling to recover active materials for feeding back into cell production. Read more

🔋 Duesenfeld secures patent wins for vacuum drying batteries

Duesenfeld won favorable patent rulings in Europe and the US for its vacuum drying process in lithium-ion battery recycling, protecting its low-temperature method that reduces energy use, recovers high-purity solvents and supports commercial rollout. Read more

🔋 HiTHIUM unveils all-weather LDES solutions at 3rd Eco-Day

At its third Eco-Day in Xiamen, HiTHIUM highlighted long-duration energy storage’s role in stabilizing renewable power, presented a five-year ‘135 Lighthouse Plan’ and introduced three LDES innovations for green power and data centers. Read more
