Company Overview

ITEN is a leading French innovator in the energy storage industry, specializing in solid-state micro-batteries. Founded to address limitations of traditional battery technologies, it operates as an Integrated Device Manufacturer in Dardilly, France. With over 12 years of R&D, a team of more than 40 engineers and PhDs, and a portfolio of over 200 patents, ITEN delivers high-performance, eco-friendly energy storage solutions for applications ranging from IoT devices and wearables to healthcare and smart city infrastructure.

Battery Technology

ITEN develops solid-state lithium-ion micro-batteries that use ceramic or polymer electrolytes instead of liquids. This architecture eliminates leakage and thermal runaway risks while offering higher energy density, faster charging, and lifespans of 10–20 years or over 2000 cycles. Batteries measure as small as 3.2×2.5×0.6 mm, operate from –40°C to +85°C, and leverage proprietary nanomaterials and electrode architectures for high power density and low self-discharge. They are free of heavy metals, toxic materials, and organic solvents and are fully recyclable.

Products

The Powency© family of rechargeable solid-state micro-batteries, including 150 µAh and 250 µAh models, manufactured at ITEN’s Lyon facility. These compact, customizable batteries serve IoT and wearable devices, offering high performance and eco-friendly design.

Recent Projects

Launched industrial-scale production of the Powency© micro-battery line at its Lyon facility, scaling capacity to meet growing demand in IoT and wearables, and plans to develop higher-energy-density micro-batteries and expand its global sales network.

Investors

Secured €80M in funding from key investors: Innovacom, Bpifrance, Groupe SEB, and Habert Dassault Finances.
