People and Technology Inc. (PNT) supplies roll-to-roll equipment, dry electrode systems and LFP materials for lithium-ion batteries, offering turnkey production lines and automation for EV, ESS and electronics manufacturers.
People and Technology Inc. (PNT) is a South Korean industrial technology company headquartered in Gumi-si, Republic of Korea. Led by CEO Joonsup Kim, PNT specializes in roll-to-roll process automation, battery electrode production equipment, advanced materials and pharmaceutical film manufacturing. The company develops equipment and materials for lithium-ion batteries, including LFP active materials and solvent-free dry electrode systems, and supplies turnkey production lines and factory automation. PNT’s stated mission is to advance scalable, lower-emission manufacturing and process technologies that improve production efficiency and workplace safety while supporting electric vehicle and energy storage deployment.
PNT’s core technologies center on roll-to-roll (R2R) converting and solvent-free dry electrode processing for lithium-ion battery electrodes. Its high-speed, wide-width coaters, calenders and slitters are engineered for ultra-precision tolerances and high throughput to ensure uniform electrode thickness and coating consistency. Dry electrode processing eliminates solvent use, reduces drying energy and cuts VOC emissions compared with wet-coating routes. PNT also supplies equipment for all-solid-state cell manufacturing and integrates precision automation, data-driven process control and machine learning to improve yield and uptime. Supporting capabilities include copper foil processing, electrolytic/electroless plating lines and optical film converting.
PNT supplies battery electrode machinery (coaters, calenders, slitters, notching), full cell process lines, dry electrode systems, copper foil and plating equipment, precision automation lines and pharmaceutical ODF production machinery. Products support electric vehicles, energy storage systems, consumer electronics and pharmaceutical manufacturing, with turnkey line integration and process consulting to boost throughput and reduce solvent and energy use.
In mid-2024 PNT completed a Series A funding round led by Kibo Technology Fund, which is the only publicly disclosed institutional investor. The round supports scaling LFP cell production, commercialization of dry electrode lines and expansion of global manufacturing and technical centers. The company reports a strong order pipeline and reported approximately $545 million in revenue for 2023.
