Snow Lake Energy is developing North America’s first all-electric lithium mine, designed to produce 160,000 tonnes per year of 6% lithium spodumene concentrate powered by nearly 100% renewable hydroelectric energy. Its Thompson Brothers and Grass River deposits total approximately 8.2 million tonnes of measured, indicated, and inferred resources at about 1% Li2O. In partnership with LG Energy Solution, it plans a lithium hydroxide processing plant in CentrePort, Manitoba, to convert raw spodumene into battery-grade lithium hydroxide. The company employs advanced exploration methods, sustainable mining practices, and low-water-use processing to minimize environmental impact.
In early 2025, Snow Lake Energy completed Phase 1 drilling at the Engo Valley Uranium Project after securing $20 million for uranium exploration. It discovered significant gallium deposits at the Mound Lake Property in Ontario. The company is also developing all-electric lithium mine operations at Thompson Brothers and Grass River and partnering with LG Energy Solution on a CentrePort lithium hydroxide plant.
Snow Lake Energy raised $6.5M via a public offering and an additional $16M in January 2025, with ThinkEquity as placement agent, backed by institutional and retail investors through its NASDAQ listing.
