Lithium Werks’ core technology is its patented Nanophosphate® LFP cells in 18650 and 26650 formats, offering high power delivery, fast charging, extended cycle life, enhanced safety, and lower cost by eliminating cobalt. Manufacturing uses proprietary Nanophosphate cathode materials developed with MIT, ensuring superior thermal stability and consistent output. The company also develops custom battery packs, modules, and battery management systems optimized for industrial, marine, and energy storage applications.
2024: Distribution partnership with Red Origin Technologies to supply LFP cells, modules, and custom packs in Turkey and neighboring regions; introduction of new 18650 LFP energy cell at MODEX 24 in Atlanta. 2023: Acquisition of patent for manganese-based phosphates promising 20% higher energy density.
Reliance New Energy Limited acquired Lithium Werks in 2022 for $61M. Previously, Oost NL provided a €7.5M loan to fund the company. Integration with Reliance Industries expanded its resources and global reach.
