Geely Auto unveiled its Geely Smart Charge technology on September 23, 2026, centered on a charging station with peak single-gun output of 2,250 kW. The company said the system is powered by its Xingrui PowerMind energy model and offers three functions: Extreme Charge, Smart Charge and Auto Charge.
Geely said thermal prediction algorithms can forecast battery temperature changes 30 seconds in advance and dynamically adjust charging power. The system is designed to maintain an average battery temperature below 55°C and keep peak temperatures below 65°C.
In testing by the China Automotive Technology and Research Centre, a Lynk & Co 10 equipped with the technology reached peak charging power of 1,093 kW. During charging from 10% to 97%, the battery remained below 55°C for 57% of the charging period and recorded a maximum temperature of 64°C.
The company also introduced a new generation of Aegis Golden Brick ultra-short blade batteries. A 395 mm 12C version used in the Lynk & Co 10 and Zeekr 001 can charge from 10% to 70% in about 4 minutes and 30 seconds under normal-temperature conditions, and from 10% to 97% in about 8 minutes and 40 seconds. A 370 mm 6C version set to debut in the new Geely Galaxy E5 can charge from 10% to 70% in about 8 minutes and 25 seconds.
By the end of 2027, Geely aims to deploy more than 100,000 charging guns across China, including over 50,000 Geely Smart Charge units, with coverage in every county. First-time owners of eligible new models purchased before January 1, 2028, will receive a charging allowance of 1,000 yuan, or $150, annually for two years. Geely also increased the battery warranty for eligible new and existing models from 8 years/150,000 km to 8 years/200,000 km.

Xingrui PowerMind’s three functions support over 100,000 charging guns by the end of 2027, including more than 50,000 Smart Charge units across all Chinese counties.
The Lynk & Co 10 and Zeekr 001 battery reaches 10% to 97% in about 8 minutes and 40 seconds—slower than CATL’s third-gen Shenxing battery.
