Jinko ESS, a global energy storage provider and subsidiary of JinkoSolar Co., Ltd., has entered into agreements with Taliva Energy to deliver 400 megawatt-hours of battery energy storage systems (BESS) across multiple utility-scale projects in Eastern Europe. Taliva Energy, which specializes in comprehensive energy storage solutions and large-scale infrastructure development in Romania, Türkiye and other European markets, will collaborate with Jinko ESS to accelerate deployment of reliable energy storage capacity that supports renewable integration and grid stability.

As Europe increases its reliance on wind and solar power, utility-scale BESS installations are critical for balancing supply and demand, providing flexibility and enhancing resilience. These projects will leverage high-performance battery modules, advanced power conversion systems and integrated control software to smooth out intermittent generation and maintain voltage and frequency standards on regional grids.

The signed portfolio encompasses a total of 400 MWh of installed capacity distributed across several sites. Once operational, these installations are expected to increase renewable energy utilization, improve grid flexibility, provide peak-shaving services and contribute to a more reliable electricity network.

Anita Li, Vice President of Jinko ESS, commented, “Our partnership with Taliva Energy aligns with our commitment to delivering scalable and high-quality storage solutions across Europe. By combining Jinko ESS’s proven technology with Taliva Energy’s local expertise, we can support the clean energy transition and build a more resilient power system.”

Mario Dalsarfati, CEO of Taliva Energy, added, “Energy storage is a cornerstone of Europe’s move toward carbon-neutral electricity. This 400 MWh portfolio not only represents a major project milestone but also underscores our shared goal of developing bankable and sustainable energy infrastructure. Together with Jinko ESS, we will execute projects that enhance grid stability and accelerate renewable integration.”

The contracts were signed during the Intersolar Europe conference, underscoring both companies’ dedication to scaling up large-scale storage deployments in the region. Moving forward, Jinko ESS will work closely with Taliva Energy to manage system integration, project delivery and lifecycle services, reinforcing a strong foundation for Europe’s ongoing energy transition.
