LG Energy Solution announced on September 22, 2026, that its battery energy storage system has qualified as NVIDIA DSX Ready BESS. The qualification covers products and solutions that meet applicable requirements in NVIDIA’s DSX reference design for AI factory infrastructure.
The NVIDIA DSX AI Factory Platform coordinates the design and operation of compute, networking, power, cooling, facilities, and software. LG Energy Solution’s BESS meets the program’s applicable requirements for AC energy storage solutions, supporting its use within power infrastructure for AI-driven environments.
According to LG Energy Solution, the system can help accelerate time-to-power and bring capacity online faster. It is also intended to address power management requirements including AI load smoothing, voltage ride-through, and improved power reliability.
LG Energy Solution said its North American energy storage operations are supported by a localized value chain covering battery cell manufacturing, pack production, and system integration. The company plans to use five regional production facilities to secure more than 50 GWh of lithium iron phosphate battery cell production capacity by the end of 2026. The capacity is intended to serve demand from data centers, infrastructure developments, and utility-scale energy storage projects.
The company’s energy storage portfolio includes system integration services, DC battery containers, and power conversion system-integrated AC battery container solutions. LG Energy Solution also offers IRA-compliant solutions eligible for applicable Investment Tax Credit incentives, along with a localized service network across North America.
Chang Beom Kang, head of LG Energy Solution’s ESS Battery Division, said the qualification supports the company’s plans to expand its digital infrastructure business by drawing on local manufacturing capabilities and battery technology.
