Sungrow Deutschland GmbH and be.storaged GmbH signed a framework agreement on September 18, 2026, to continue their cooperation on large-scale battery energy storage system projects in Germany. The companies plan to jointly deliver a pipeline of up to 1.6 GWh of storage capacity over the next two years.
The agreement covers cooperation across project planning, development and implementation. Sungrow and be.storaged intend to use standardized processes, coordinated technical solutions and early joint planning to accelerate project execution while reducing coordination requirements and feedback loops.
As an engineering, procurement and construction service provider, be.storaged is responsible for project development, planning, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational support. Sungrow will contribute battery energy storage systems, power electronics, manufacturing expertise and related services. The companies said the framework will enable closer technical coordination from the early phases of future projects.
The partnership also includes the continued development and deployment of storage technology. Sungrow plans to increasingly use its PowerTitan 3.0 large-scale battery storage system in upcoming projects. The system integrates a 1.78 MW power conversion system and 7.14 MWh of battery capacity in a 20-foot container. According to Sungrow, the configuration can scale to 28.5 MWh.
Sungrow, be.storaged Plan 1.6 GWh BESS Pipeline in Germany
The partners plan closer cooperation to standardise project delivery and accelerate large-scale battery storage deployment in Germany.
With no year-on-year comparator, the sole ranked figure is neutral; the detail lies in Sungrow’s container-level specifications.
The framework agreement is intended to support the early integration of new technology into joint projects. It also establishes structured feedback between project development, plant operation and technology development, allowing findings from planning, construction and operation to inform future storage solutions.
Sungrow and be.storaged said the planned 1.6 GWh project volume will support renewable energy integration and provide flexibility to Germany’s power system. Battery storage can balance electricity generation and consumption while supporting the delivery of energy when required.
