Xiaomi Auto said at IFA Berlin 2026 that it plans to enter Germany and other European markets in 2027, and it has taken an early step toward that expansion by signing memorandums of understanding with eight German automotive dealer groups. The agreements are intended to help the company build a retail and after-sales service network in Europe.
The eight dealer groups are Ernst Dello GmbH & Co. KG, Autohaus Dinnebier GmbH, Emil Frey Germany, Fett & Wirtz Automobile GmbH & Co. KG, Hahn Automobile GmbH + Co. KG, LUEG Mobility GmbH, Penske-Jacobs Innovation GmbH, and SPT Avior SE & Co. KG. Xiaomi noted that LUEG was Germany’s first authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer, while Emil Frey is one of Europe’s largest dealer groups.
Yu Liguo, vice president of Xiaomi Auto and head of its international business, said the company is committed to long-term investment in Europe. He said Xiaomi’s European R&D center in Munich and its growing network of sales and service partners are central to delivering products and service for European customers. Yu added that localized partnerships will remain a key part of the company’s European strategy, and that Xiaomi intends to recruit additional partners as its 2027 launch date approaches.
Xiaomi Auto said it has delivered more than 700,000 vehicles in mainland China since deliveries of its first model began in March 2024. The company said the SU7 series surpassed 500,000 deliveries in 28.5 months, while the YU7 received more than 240,000 firm orders within 18 hours of launch.
In July, Xiaomi Auto introduced its Xiaomi Skynomad series, which is scheduled to make its official debut on Sept. 7. As part of its overseas preparations, the company launched a global website and official international social media channels in late August.
At IFA Berlin, Xiaomi is also showcasing its Human x Car x Home smart ecosystem and new projects including the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo concept. The exhibition is open to the public from Sept. 4 to Sept. 8. Source: CarNewsChina
