Palmer Energy Technology Ltd. and InoBat AS have signed a collaboration agreement to supply battery energy storage systems across Europe, with the two companies also planning to coordinate on market coverage, supply chain arrangements, and battery and energy management technology. The agreement is intended to support energy storage deployments in Europe and potentially other markets beyond the region.
Under the partnership, InoBat will build on its existing European presence and planned expansion into North America, while Palmer Energy Technology will use its position in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The companies said they will share responsibilities in different markets and work together on new opportunities. The agreement also establishes a reciprocal supply arrangement designed to help maintain product availability and avoid shortfalls for customers.
According to the companies, Palmer Energy Technology will become a supplier to InoBat in 2026. From 2027, Palmer Energy Technology will have the option to source battery energy storage systems from InoBat’s Slovak manufacturing facility once it is commissioned, including through InoBat’s BESSMONT brand. In addition, Palmer Energy Technology will supply its patented Brill Power battery management system and energy management system for integration into InoBat’s BESSMONT units.
Brill Power’s software is developed in Oxford, and the company said all system data is stored on its own servers in Europe. The arrangement is presented by both companies as a European solution for customers that keeps data within Europe.
InoBat launched its energy solutions business in 2025 to address a shortage of grid-scale batteries in Europe. Through its BESSMONT platform, the company said it has delivered or contracted 875 MWh of utility-scale battery storage capacity, with increasing demand from data center and artificial intelligence-related power applications. InoBat is also developing sodium-ion battery technology with partners.
Marián Boček, co-founder and chief executive of InoBat, said the partnership reflects the company’s belief in collaborations that support growth and stability. Dr. Andy Palmer, CEO and co-founder of Palmer Energy Technology, said the agreement gives both companies broader access to the European market and gives customers a European product with data stored in Europe.
