In early 2024, Exide Industries advanced its 12 GWh lithium-ion cell manufacturing facility in Bengaluru with phase one expected by 2025, and signed an MoU with Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation to supply EV cells and packs in India. At ees Europe 2024, Exide unveiled the Solition Mega Three 3.4 MWh containerized energy storage module.
Major shareholders of Exide Industries Limited include Chloride Eastern Ltd. (46.0%), Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Co. Ltd. (4.5%), Rajan Raheja Group (4.3%), and Norges Bank Investment Management (2.2%). European operations under Energy Technologies Holdings LLC remain privately held since October 2020.
