Rock Tech’s process begins with spodumene extraction at its Georgia Lake project in Ontario, followed by sophisticated refinement to produce high-purity lithium hydroxide. The Guben converter facility, spanning 17 soccer fields, uses advanced processing and closed-loop recycling to reprocess used battery materials and convert by-products into industrial inputs like cement additives.
Battery-grade lithium hydroxide produced from spodumene concentrate with an annual capacity of 24,000 tonnes; recycled lithium materials from used batteries; by-products converted into cement additives.
In early 2025, completed a railway connection and ONTRAS gas pipeline relocation at the Guben converter site; secured CAD 1.4 million from Canada’s Critical Minerals Infrastructure Fund for Georgia Lake development; partnered with SCHWENK Zement GmbH to convert lithium by-products into cement additives.
The company’s major investors include CEO/Chairman Dirk Harbecke (8.5%), Laiqon AG (0.4%), PP-Asset Management GmbH, HanseMerkur Trust AG, and it is further supported by European family offices, private placements and government infrastructure funding.
