Battery Technology

Basquevolt specializes in solid-state lithium batteries, which use a unique polymer composite electrolyte developed through extensive research. This technology eliminates many of the limitations of conventional lithium-ion batteries, such as thermal instability and lower energy density. The company’s solid-state batteries achieve energy densities exceeding 450 Wh/kg, making them highly competitive in the market. In 2024, Basquevolt marked a significant milestone with the launch of its A-Sample Line, a manufacturing plant dedicated to producing prototype solid-state battery cells. The facility, built in just eight months, can produce cells with capacities of up to 80 Ah. The company has also begun delivering its first cells to major players in the automotive and aviation industries, demonstrating the practical viability of its technology.

Looking ahead, Basquevolt plans to inaugurate its new R&D Center and a prototype manufacturing line by the end of 2025. These developments are part of the company’s strategy to scale production and achieve commercial readiness by 2027, with a target annual capacity of 10 GWh.
