🔋 BYD CTO Defends Blade Battery and 9-Min Flash Charge

🔋 Ganfeng Lithium Debuts 500 Wh/kg Solid-State Batteries

Ganfeng Lithium said it has begun small-scale production of solid-state batteries with 500 Wh/kg energy density and validated a 400 Wh/kg cell over 1,100 cycles. The company cited lithium-metal anodes and targets including EVs, eVTOLs, and robotics. Read more

🔋 Basquevolt Debuts BQV400L Li-Metal Cell for Factory Drop-In

Basquevolt introduced the BQV400L lithium-metal cell, citing 402 Wh/kg, 27 Ah, and 8.9 C pulse power using a hybrid polymer electrolyte. The company said the cell is designed for drop-in gigafactory compatibility and is built in Spain with 75% European parts. Read more

🔋 Amprius and Matternet Team Up on High-Energy Drone Batteries

Amprius and Matternet said they will optimize silicon-anode lithium-ion batteries for Matternet’s M2 drones. The companies cited a goal of doubling energy density versus graphite to extend range, increase payload, speed charging, and reduce delivery costs. Read more

🔋 Ford Energy to Supply EDF With Up to 20 GWh Battery Storage

Ford Energy and EDF Power Solutions North America agreed to a five-year framework for up to 20 GWh of DC Block BESS supply from 2028, cited as 4 GWh per year. The offering features 5.45 MWh LFP containers for grid services including frequency regulation and renewable integration. Read more

🔋 Masdar, Sungrow to Supply UAE’s First RTC Gigascale Project

Masdar and Sungrow agreed to supply 7.5 GWh of PowerTitan 3.0 energy storage systems and 2.6 GW of PV inverters for the UAE’s first gigascale, round-the-clock renewable project. The project targets continuous power delivery by 2027. Read more

🔋 Spearmint Energy Secures $450M to Build 600 MWh BESS

Spearmint Energy secured $450 million in financing, including a $225 million construction facility and ITC proceeds, for its 300 MW/600 MWh Red Egret BESS in Texas. The project is planned to begin operations in 2027 on the ERCOT network. Read more

🔋 Gotion Gains €92M for Valladolid EV Battery Projects

Gotion High-Tech secured €92 million from Spain’s PERTE VEC to support two EV battery facilities in Valladolid: a €532.8 million cathode material plant and a €411.5 million battery recycling site. Read more

🔋 Stellantis, Dongfeng Plan European JV for Voyah NEV Rollout

🔋 Rock Tech Lithium Targets 50% Capex Cut With Ore Sorting

Rock Tech Lithium reported pilot ore-sorting tests at Georgia Lake that increased lithium grade by 1.4–1.8× while removing 25–45% waste. Early analysis suggests sorting could reduce crushing and concentrator capex by up to 50%. Read more

🔋 Watercycle, cylib Sign MOU on Graphite and Lithium Recovery

Watercycle signed an MoU with cylib to recover graphite and lithium from end-of-life batteries in Europe. From 2026, Watercycle plans to source graphite from cylib’s Aachen demo plant and use DLEC to extract lithium and produce clean water. Read more

🔋 Renewable Metals Raises $12M to Scale Battery Recycling Tech

Renewable Metals raised $12 million in an oversubscribed Series A led by CEFC to advance its alkali-based battery recycling process. The company said the funding will support 24/7 prototype plant operations, a full-scale FEED study, and team growth. Read more
