- 🔋 QuantumScape Plans 100 MWh Solid-State Battery Line – QuantumScape plans a 100 MWh solid-state lithium-metal battery production line, with Muehlbauer Group supplying cell assembly equipment. Engineering is underway, and cell production is targeted for 2028. Read more
- 🔋 Chery Plans 400 Wh/kg Solid-State Pilot Line for 2027 – Chery plans to start a Rhinoceros S solid-state battery pilot line in 2027, with a roadmap target of 400 Wh/kg. Separate liquid-electrolyte cells are rated for peak charging at 12C. Read more
- 🔋 Fraunhofer ISE Tests Silicon-Rich Cells Past 1,000 Cycles – Fraunhofer ISE operated 25-Ah pouch cells with silicon-rich anodes for more than 1,000 full cycles, retaining over 83 percent of initial capacity. The cells reached 280 Wh/kg. Read more

- 🔋 CATL Unveils 513 kWh Dual-Battery System for Trucks – CATL unveiled a dual-battery range-extender system for electric heavy-duty trucks, pairing a 432 kWh or 513 kWh swappable pack with a fixed 77 kWh backup battery. It plans 2,000 swap stations by 2027. Read more
- 🔋 BAIC, CATL Expand Battery Swap Network Partnership – BAIC will connect compatible vehicles across several brands to CATL’s Choco swap network and open its dealerships for station deployment, targeting a system serving vehicles at million-unit scale. Read more

- 🔋 GSA Opens Battery Recycling Lab for Direct Cathode Reuse – Green Science Alliance opened a lab in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, to develop direct regeneration of NMC and LFP cathode materials. Early cells achieved more than 90% of the capacity of commercial-material equivalents. Read more
- 🔋 Hydrovolt, Icelandic Fund Partner on Battery Recycling – Hydrovolt and the Icelandic Recycling Fund will collect, transport and recycle end-of-life EV and industrial batteries from Iceland at Hydrovolt’s facility in Norway, supporting producer responsibility. Read more
